teamuncoolfashion likes: Christian Louboutin Mens SS10

Christian Louboutin have dropped the bomb; their SS10 Mens Footwear Collection. Louboutin presents a series of high top sneakers, in both canvas / leather options and then the more extravagant looks. Personally speaking “The Freddy” stud lace-ups and “The Pony” are my must haves for this season fellas, but they do need a special swagger to pull off.

FRIDA GIANNINI COLLABORATES WITH MARK RONSON
ON NEW GUCCI ICON-TEMPORARY FLASH SNEAKER STORE PROJECT

Gucci is pleased to announce the launch of GUCCI ICON-TEMPORARY, a flash sneaker store that is traveling the world as of October 2009. For this unique retail initiative, Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini has collaborated with award-winning musical artist Mark Ronson on the design of a limited edition collection of Gucci Ronson sneakers.

A new limited edition Gucci Ronson sneaker will be introduced at each international destination of the tour, in addition to an exclusive edition of 18 sneaker styles in the GUCCI ICON-TEMPORARY sneaker collection. The collection includes 16 men’s styles and 2 women’s styles, incorporating classic Gucci design signatures, such as the GG logo or a stylized version of the iconic Gucci red and green web detail. Each design includes silver or gold metal dog tags as well as an embroidered ‘Limited Edition’ label inscribed inside the shoe. Customers’ initials can be embossed onto a customized leather tag on the shoe laces, if desired.

Conceived as true collector’s items, each GUCCI ICON-TEMPORARY sneaker comes with unique packaging designed specifically for each city on the international tour. The limited edition Gucci Ronson sneaker will also have its own exclusive packaging.

Giannini has developed an eye-catching GUCCI ICON-TEMPORARY store design with interiors coated in a slick white gloss and an oversized red and green web band that wraps around its perimeter.

The first GUCCI ICON-TEMPORARY store debuted on Crosby Street in New York in October 2009, and traveled to Miami's Design District in December. The project will move to London and Tokyo in Spring 2010.

Continuing the hand drawn print design seen in her acclaimed graduate collection from Central St Martins in London, Laura Mackness unique collection for Weekday is full of witty drawings. Inspiration comes from her private collection of watches, from artists François and Jean Robert as well as from the human body itself. Wandering hands and tan lines are all part of the equally amusing and daring prints.

teamuncoolfashion likes: Zimmermann by Juergen Teller

Reminiscent of his earlier publication Märchenstüberl, Juergen Teller’s new photographic series, Zimmermann, documents the supermodel Raquel Zimmermann engaging in family events and interacting with Teller’s native environment in Bubenreuth, Southern Germany. Staying true to his snapshot aesthetic but managing to portray what he calls a ‘surreal fairytale’, Teller captures Zimmermann in a state of complete abandon, pictured lifelessly in the woods, or lying semi-nude on the family table, a sacrificial offering forming part of a Bavarian feast. A narrative akin to the gothic and dramatic style of a Grimm’s Fairy Tale, this story explores themes of suppressed youth and teenage longing.
